Open Source or Premium

Which version to choose?

Both run the same control panel on your own server. The open-source version has everything you need to host your own sites. Premium adds what a hosting business needs: a panel for each customer, packages and limits, and priority support.

Open Source Free

For your own sites. You are the admin, and you do everything from one panel.

  • Your blog, your company's site or an online shop on WordPress
  • Your sites' email, on the same server
  • A developer or an agency that manages its clients' sites itself
  • Test and staging sites for themes and plugins

The people you host get their mailboxes and webmail. They do not get a panel of their own: you make the changes for them.

Premium €59 / year

For a hosting business. Your customers look after their own sites, within the limits of what they pay for.

  • Each customer signs in to their own Account Panel
  • Hosting packages with limits, disk and mailbox quotas and monthly bandwidth (Hosting Pro)
  • Suspend an account that has not paid, with one click
  • Own IP addresses, Apache behind nginx, a web application firewall and FTP
  • Priority support and help with migrations

Less support work for you: customers reset passwords, add mailboxes, install WordPress and restore backups themselves.

Example

Host your WordPress site with the free version

Everything below is in the open-source version, with no limits on sites, mailboxes or databases.

  1. Get a server. A VPS with Rocky Linux, AlmaLinux or RHEL 8 or 9, and its reverse DNS pointing at its name.
  2. Install Reqad with one command: bash <(curl -sSL https://repo.reqad.net/install.sh). It sets up the web server, PHP, MariaDB, mail and SSL. See the installation guide.
  3. Add a hosting account for your domain. Reqad can add its DNS records and a free Let's Encrypt certificate at the same time.
  4. Install WordPress from the WordPress Toolkit: its own database, the language you choose, and a one-click login to wp-admin.
  5. Make it fast and safe: turn on the page cache and the security measures you want, and test changes on a staging copy before they go live.
  6. Add mailboxes for your domain, with SPF, DKIM and DMARC checked for you, and read mail in the webmail.
  7. Back it up every night to a backup server of your own, and put back a whole account, its files or one database when you need to.

Want us to run it for you? The Managed plan includes everything in Premium: we install Reqad on your server, move your sites and keep it updated.

Start free, add Premium later.

Premium is a set of add-ons installed on top of the same server with dnf install, so there is nothing to reinstall or move. Your accounts, sites and mail stay as they are. See Plugins & add-ons.
