Plugins & add-ons
Add-ons are separate packages installed next to Reqad. Each one adds its own pages to the panel menu, and some add commands, API routes and tiles on the dashboard. An add-on changes no file of Reqad itself, so the panel works the same without it, and removing it gives you back the panel you had.
The add-ons
| Add-on | Package | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Reqad Hosting Pro | reqad-hosting-pro | Hosting packages (limits, disk and mailbox quotas, monthly bandwidth, suspension), IP addresses of their own for accounts, and Apache behind nginx. |
| Account panel | reqad-account | A control panel of its own for each hosting account, on port 2083. It has its own chapter: Account panel. |
| FTP server | reqad-pureftpd | Pure-FTPd with TLS required, and FTP users locked to one folder of an account. |
| WireGuard | reqad-wireguard | A peer manager for a WireGuard VPN on the server. |
| Minecraft | reqad-minecraft | A Minecraft Java Edition server: install, console, settings and config files. |
Hosting Pro and the account panel are separate packages: Hosting Pro does not include the account panel, and the account panel works without Hosting Pro. With both installed, an account's package also decides what its panel offers (a limit of 0 hides that part).
Installing an add-on
The add-ons come from the Reqad premium repository. Access to it is given per server, with a premium subscription: send us the server's public IP address and we open the repository for it. Then, as root:
dnf install reqad-repo-premium # once: adds the premium repository dnf install reqad-hosting-pro # or reqad-account, reqad-pureftpd, reqad-wireguard, reqad-minecraft
The package turns its feature on in /usr/local/reqad/etc/server-software.ini, and its pages show in the menu at the next page load. Some set things up on the first install, which the add-on's page describes: Pure-FTPd is configured and started, and the account panel's service and port are set up.
Updates
dnf update updates the add-ons together with Reqad. An add-on names the oldest Reqad it works with, so dnf brings Reqad up to date with it when needed. The account panel is the one add-on that must match Reqad closely: update both together, or its page in the panel and the dashboard's Needs attention card tell you it stopped.
Removing an add-on
dnf remove reqad-minecraft
Removing the package takes its pages, commands and switches out of the panel. What it made on the server stays, so nothing you rely on is deleted by accident:
- Minecraft: the server in
/opt/minecraft, its world andminecraft.servicestay. Remove them first with/usr/local/reqad/scripts/minecraft/mc-helper.sh uninstallif you want them gone. - FTP server: Pure-FTPd keeps running with its configuration, FTP users, certificate and open ports. It is a package of its own (
pure-ftpd). - WireGuard: the tunnel and its peers in
wg0.confstay as they are. - Hosting Pro: mailbox quotas are turned off; accounts keep everything they have.
- Account panel: its service, port 2083 and the per-visit phpMyAdmin logins are removed. The accounts' sites, mail and databases are not touched.
